The Garfield Blocks We Cover
Garfield is a compact city in Bergen County, packed tight against the Passaic River, and we cover all of it. The 07026 zip wraps the bulk of town, with 07027 reaching the southern blocks, and our trucks know both halves well. Up on the north side, the Plauderville neighborhood runs along Midland Avenue near the NJ Transit station between Plauderville Avenue and Outwater Lane. Through the middle and east you have the Belmont section, the Bogart Heights rise, and the long stretch of homes that follow River Drive down toward the Dundee Dam.
The river edge matters for roofs. Wind funnels harder along the Passaic and down by the dam than the forecast lets on, and that is where we see lifted shingle edges and loose ridge caps after a blow. Closer to the rail line and the older First and Second Ward blocks, the houses sit shoulder to shoulder, so a failure on one roof drips onto the next. Wherever your address falls, Belmont, Plauderville, Bogart Heights, or the streets off Outwater Lane and Passaic Street, you get the same crew and the same written number.

A Local Crew, Not a Call Center
Right Across the River
The shop at 38 Speer Ave in Clifton is a short hop over the Passaic into Garfield. Short drives mean small problems get fixed while they are still small, and when we say a crew can swing by tomorrow, that is a plan.
Licensed and Insured in NJ

Written Numbers, Free Looks

About Garfield, NJ
Garfield got its start in 1873 as a cluster of homes called East Passaic, took the name Garfield in 1881 after President James Garfield, and became a city in 1917. It grew up as a mill town along the Passaic, with the Dundee Dam and its old canal once powering the clothing mills that drew waves of immigrant families to the wards. That history shows up on the rooftops. Much of the housing here went up before the war or in the boom that followed, a lot of it two-family, set close together on tight blocks.
Roofs that old leak at the flashing and the valleys first, and plenty of them carry two layers of asphalt by now, an original roof with a second laid over it decades back. That second layer hides wear you only see from the attic or in photos from up top. Garfield also has a lot of flat and low-slope roofing on the rear additions, the porches, and the small multi-family buildings, and the spot where a flat section meets the pitched field above it is where the original flashing was usually an afterthought. We repair both systems, so one contractor answers for the whole roof.
Because so many Garfield houses share a wall or a property line, water rarely respects the boundary. On two-family and shared roofs we document which side a failure is on and put the shared portion in writing, so landlords get timestamped photos that answer tenant questions before they turn into complaints.

Garfield Coverage Questions We Hear
Do you really cover all of Garfield?
Yes, the whole city. Belmont, Bogart Heights, Plauderville along Midland Avenue, the River Drive blocks near the Dundee Dam, and both the 07026 and 07027 sides. Our base across the river in Clifton puts every Garfield street within a short drive.
How fast can you get to a leak in Garfield?
For an active leak, same day. We are minutes across the Passaic, so we can usually get someone out to tarp and stop the water before the next rain, then schedule the real repair in daylight.
My house is a two-family. Can you handle a shared roof?
Often. So much of Garfield is two-family that this is routine for us. We document which side of the line a failure sits on, photograph it, and talk to both owners before any work crosses the shared portion.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. We come out, get on the roof, take photos, and hand you a written number with no charge and no pressure. A good share of the time the news is better than you feared.
