There are two separate warranties on a roof and they cover different failures. Confusing them is how homeowners end up thinking they are protected when they are not, so here is the plain version.
Workmanship: 2-year, From Us
This covers installation. If a roof leaks because of how it was fitted, flashing detailed wrong, fasteners in the wrong place, a valley that was not woven properly, that is ours and we come back and fix it at no charge. 2-year from completion.
Materials: Up to Fifty Years, From the Manufacturer
This covers the product itself, and it comes from whoever made the shingle, not from us. Coverage runs up to fifty years depending on the line you choose, and the terms are the manufacturer's terms. We will tell you which tier you are buying and what it actually carries before you sign, because material warranties vary far more than the headline number suggests.
An Honest Note on Certifications
We install GAF and Owens Corning products. We are not currently enrolled in either manufacturer's contractor certification program, and we do not claim to be. Some manufacturers offer enhanced or extended warranties only through certified contractors, so if that specific coverage matters to you, ask us directly and we will tell you exactly what we can and cannot register on your roof. If that costs us a job, fine.
What Is Not Covered
Storm damage is an insurance matter, not a warranty matter. Neither warranty covers a tree coming through the roof or hail. We do document storm damage properly during an inspection so a claim has what it needs, but that is a different process.

Questions We Get Asked
Is the workmanship warranty transferable if I sell the house?
Ask us at signing and we will tell you plainly what applies to your contract. Keep the itemized estimate either way, because it records the material tier and decking allowance.
Do you offer manufacturer extended warranties?
Some manufacturers restrict their enhanced warranties to certified contractors, and we are not currently certified with GAF or Owens Corning. Ask us before you buy and we will tell you exactly what can be registered on your roof.
What if the leak is from something you did not install?
Then we will tell you that, and quote the repair separately. A chimney or skylight we never touched is not covered by our workmanship warranty, and pretending otherwise would only delay the fix.
Does the warranty cover storm damage?
No. Storm damage goes through insurance. We document it during inspection so a claim holds up, but it is a separate process from either warranty.
Is Four Seasons a GAF Master Elite contractor?
No. Four Seasons is not a GAF Master Elite contractor and does not offer the Golden Pledge or other Master Elite-only warranties. We install GAF and Owens Corning roofing systems, and every roof we install carries the manufacturer's material warranty on the products plus our own written workmanship warranty. We would rather be clear about that than let a homeowner assume otherwise.
What warranty do I actually get on a repair?
Every repair carries a 2 year workmanship warranty. If the repair we made fails on our account inside that window, we come back and fix it at no charge. Bigger repairs on manufacturer materials may also carry the material warranty that came with the product.
What warranty comes with a full roof replacement?
A full roof gets our installation workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer's material warranty on the GAF, Owens Corning, or IKO products we install, and on select products lifetime material coverage for as long as you own the home, per the manufacturer's terms. Why does a full manufacturer system matter for the warranty?
The strongest warranties require a matched system, meaning the shingles, underlayment, starter, ridge, and ventilation all come from the same manufacturer line. Mixing components can knock a roof down to a weaker warranty tier. This is one reason we quote complete systems and never install by covering old shingles, which voids most manufacturer coverage outright.
How do I verify a contractor's certification?
Ask which tier they hold and ask to see it registered after the job, not just promised before it. You can also confirm a New Jersey contractor's license through the state Division of Consumer Affairs.
