A Tight Service Area, On Purpose
Four Seasons Roofing and Construction works out of one shop at 38 Speer Ave in Clifton, and every job we take sits within a short drive of it. That is on purpose. A roofer who has to ride forty minutes to honor a warranty call tends to find reasons not to come. We built our service area the opposite way: tight enough that the crew that quoted your roof can be back on it the same day if anything ever needs attention.

The footprint covers the working heart of North Jersey across Passaic, Essex, Bergen, Somerset, Union, and Warren counties. Clifton, Passaic, and Wayne on the Passaic side. Montclair, Bloomfield, and Nutley in Essex. Fair Lawn and Paramus over the Bergen line. Different towns, and honestly, different roofs. A 1920s Montclair colonial with a slate accent has nothing in common with a 1960s Wayne split-level or a Paramus ranch, and the repair that works on one can be flat wrong for the other. Working the same towns year after year means we have stood on most of these housing types hundreds of times, so the diagnosis is fast and the estimate holds up.
Everything is done by our own licensed crew, NJ HIC #13VH11720500, fully insured, never subbed out to whoever answered the phone that week. Every estimate starts with a free inspection and photos of what we actually found, and every number comes in writing before work starts. Repairs carry a 2 year workmanship warranty. Full replacements carry 50-year material backing on top of that. Seniors and military save on every job, and bigger projects qualify for 0% financing.
If your town is not on the list, call anyway. We take jobs in the surrounding towns when the drive makes sense. The number is (862) 318-3997.

Inspections, Town by Town
The free inspection is how most of these towns first meet us, so each one now has its own inspection page with the local specifics spelled out. What an inspector looks for changes more from town to town than people expect, because the housing went up in different eras for different reasons.

In Montclair, the inspector needs to know slate and cedar as well as asphalt, because the Tudors and 1920s colonials up toward Upper Montclair still carry their original roofs. Bloomfield splits into two waves, the pre-war four-squares around the green off Broad Street and the postwar capes out toward Watsessing, and each wave fails in its own way. Passaic is parapet walls, flat sections behind front gables, and drainage, more membrane work than shingle work. Wayne is trees and wind, from the Preakness valley split-levels to the lake homes around Packanack and Pines Lake.
Nutley packs three square miles with pre-war colonials and capes, dormers and plank decking included, and an inspection there is as much about the patch history as the shingles. Garfield has been a mill town since 1873 and runs heavily two-family, with flashing and valleys usually the first things to go. Little Falls sits between the Passaic and the Peckman and floods, which makes a tight roof matter more there than almost anywhere else we work. Fair Lawn ages in waves, whole streets of capes and ranches on the same construction calendar, so one ceiling stain on a block is a good reason to check your own attic.
Over the Bergen line, Paramus is the postwar ranches and split-levels tucked between Routes 4 and 17, an easy run up 17 from the shop. Wyckoff is almost entirely owner-occupied single-family homes on established lots, a pitched-roof, asphalt-shingle town. And in Woodland Park, the homes on the slopes near Garret Mountain Reservation catch wind at an angle the flatland houses never see. Every one of these inspections is free, takes about an hour, and ends with photos you keep and a plain verdict: fix this now, watch that one, leave the rest alone.
What stands behind the work afterward is written out on our GAF certification and roof warranty guide, and the reviews Clifton homeowners have left us, 5.0 across 117 on Google, are collected on the Clifton reviews page.

Everything We Do
Roofing is the headline, but the same crew handles the whole shell of the house. On the roof: roof repair, roof replacement, emergency roof repair, roof leak repair, flat roof repair, storm damage roof repair, and roof inspections. Around the chimney: chimney repair, chimney flashing and waterproofing, and full chimney rebuilds. On the walls and the ground: siding installation, siding repair, brick and stone masonry, paver patios, and steps and walkways. For the openings: window replacement and door installation. Every one of those pages covers pricing, process, and warranty in plain language.

Questions We Get Asked
Which towns do you actually work in?
Thirty-two North Jersey towns, each with its own page covering the housing stock and how the job runs there. We are based at 38 Speer Ave in Clifton and most of these are a short run from the shop.
Our town is not on the list. Will you still come out?
Call and ask. The listed towns are where we work most often, not a hard boundary, and the honest answer depends on the job and the drive.
Do you charge more for towns further from Clifton?
Distance is not a line item. The estimate is itemized by the work, with venting and flashing itemized apart from the shingle price, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Why does each town have its own page?
Because a roof replacement in Montclair is not the same job as one in Paramus. The housing stock, the pitches, the permit office, and the decking differ, so the pages differ.
How quickly can you get to us?
Call (862) 318-3997 and we book the inspection, usually with a same-day callback.

How a Job Actually Runs
You reach out
Call (862) 318-3997 or send the form. We do not need the whole story up front, just the address and what you are seeing.
Free inspection
We come out and look at the roof. The inspection is free and there is no obligation either way.
We photograph what we find
A photo of a cracked boot or a rusted valley settles the question faster than a paragraph, so you see the roof rather than hear about it.
Written itemized estimate
The material tier and the decking allowance are broken out as their own numbers, so you can change any of them before you sign.
The work
We tear off rather than lay over on almost every house, because a layover means nobody ever looks at the deck. Bad boards get replaced as we find them and photographed one at a time.
After the job
Decking is billed against the allowance written into the contract before anyone climbed a ladder, and the work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty with a 50-year manufacturer warranty on the material.
